Another thing to look out for is the deposit, make sure you know what the landlord expects when you move out. The scumbag ones will try and screw you out of your deposit by claiming damaged was caused by you when it was already damaged when you moved in.

Before you move in get the inventory done and signed.
It is always a hassle to go through everything but it pays to list any damage such as cracked tiles, damaged cooker, cigarette burns, wine spills etc etc before you move in.
Landlords (the bad and evil ones :D) may claim you caused damage and hold your deposit hostage.

One way to get around this is take dated pics before moving your stuff in, and keep them. Especially if there are things that bother you slightly, and you think they could be used against you later. If you have definitive proof that it was there before your stuff was ever there...then you should be fine. Or make a list of noticeable flaws and have the landlord sign it saying these things were flawed on move-in day. (I've heard of people doing this...and getting a slight break on rent as well, due to the flaws) :D

Have fun and ask as many questions as you deem fit.

Do you have any pictures of the spot you have in mind? I'm simply nosy is all.. I love neo-modern-European style apartments.

GL with your find and moving in!

Not sure why it is on a hotelimages website but this is the apartment block where I live in the center of Manchester. I live at the top!
