Repair disk permission

Is it just me or repair disk permission in disk utility is greyed out and cannot be used?

I'm seeing the same thing, even on external HFS+ drives. Verify is also greyed out for me.

External SSD's

Disk Utility:

1. OS X 10.9.3 SSD (internal) bay#1 all four options available.
2. OS X 10.10 SSD's mounted on PCIe DUO X2 in RAID0 (listed as external) only "verify" available.
