repair disk permissions every day ?

I usually hit repair disc permissions option once a week.Today i tried a curious test and after disk permissions repair was done I cleared the history and started the repair again.It filled screen with repaired things.Is this normal after i just repaired them?What is going on here?

Theres really no need to repair disk permissions everyday. As long as everything is running smoothly, it doesn't make much of a difference.

It is normal for some things to never have the correct permissions. You only need to repair the permissions about once a month at the very most. I only do it twice a year and everything runs fine.

I have a 3 year old 24" iMac and have never repaired permissions and I see no issues.

Ditto! In my opinion, there's a load of rubbish preached about verifying disc permissions. Some seem to think it's the panacea to all problems!
