Attempting to exchange the display on a 5th Generation Video iPod 60GB (had a spare) I broke the board's connector to the battery while removing the cable.

Can this be repaired, is it even worth it? Other that a bad display, since replaced, the iPod worked fine (Hard drive, controls, battery).

    Thanks

Broken connectors on 0402 boards are difficult to repair, but a picture would help diagnose the situation a little more accurately.

Unless the break is relatively minor and the pins are intact, it's probably not worth trying to fix... especially if you're not good at soldering.

    Thanks

The attach image from iFixIt shows the connector that is broken (yellow box).
The pins went with the connector - no longer on the board. I suspect this one is toast.

If you are confident in your soldering skills, it doesn't hurt to at least try if the pins came off cleanly. Does it look like anything ripped off?

Nothing ripped off. It is such a small area that it will not be easy.

    Thanks for the comments
