Hello,

the Mini-DVI socket of my late 2006 Macbook (1,83 Ghz) is broken. The two pins on the upper right side are damaged:

Wikipedia says this two pins are DGND (digital ground). Is there a way to short these pins in my Mini-DVI ---> DVI adapter? Or what do you suggest me to fix this?

Best,

I know you posted this a long, long time ago. But I'm actually having the exact same problem. Did you figure out how to fix it?

:)

The ports are soldered onto the Logic Board. Therefore the only option would be Logic Board repair or replacement to replace the damaged port.
