will be here in the morning...I think I put in the sim card hook to itunes and do a restore and back in business??---but what about serial number? ...has it been changed? is it on the sim card? what?--do I have to re-regisiter this phone and serial number with apple?..and worse yet do I have to hassle with tracfone, my carrier.??------so some clearification on how the serial number change, if it has occured is dealt with it?..may have been nice if it was just ported over to the replacement device..

I guess the replacement rather than new, are a mix mash of tested working used parts?? comments on that also please...thank you--

It is tg week so trying to keep this simple- people will be crazy if I have to get help

Your post is far from simple. Mind posting the questions in a more coherent fashion with bullet points?

In general if your replacement is directly coming from apple then you don’t need to worry about anything at all.

Thank you I orginally wrote that in my native apache -I guess the translator hosed it up sorry was hoping for either and native apache or english speaker comment...however you seem to have diciphered it sucessfully and I do apprecaite your help -thank you very much for your trouble

You can use iTunes to restore or from an iCloud backup.

Serial # and IMEI will be different.

No need to re-register the serial # and IMEI. Both will be registered to your AppleID when you sign in.

If you cannot get service with your Tracfone sim, you may have to call Tracfone and have them add the phone's IMEI to your cell phone account.
