The volume Macintosh HD needs to be repaired.

Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit

1 HFS volume checked

How do I repair the boot drive?

If you don't want to boot into single user mode and run fsck then this is the easiest way:

Apple Support said:
Repair your hard disk. Insert the installation disc that came with your computer into the optical drive. Then restart your computer holding down the C key. Continue to hold down the C key until the Apple logo appears. After the Installer window appears on the desktop, choose Utilities > Disk Utility from the menu bar at the top of the screen. When Disk Utility opens, follow the instructions in the First Aid pane to see if the utility can repair your disk.

Thanx.

I ended up botting under command+s, and using "fsck -f" command. Fixed it.

Must have been something up, I have gained 20GBs of HDD space. Everything seems to be in tact.
