Here's my situation: I am month-to-month on AT&T with a grandfathered Unlimited Data plan. I've got an iPhone 6 Plus 128. It was replaced about 18 months ago and it's developed battery issues which I was ignoring. I had planned eventually to get the battery replaced an tough it out at least until the iPhone 8 was released...longer if I could. But the situation has changed.

Tonight I dropped my phone face-down on concrete. For the first time ever (and I've had an iPhone since 3GS days), I broke my screen. Completely shattered. So now I'm faced with a decision. I don't think I'm willing to shell out for an iPhone 7 at this point, nor am I willing to lock myself into a monthly payment plan. So I have two options:

1. Repair screen ($149) and replace battery ($79) for a total of $228, or

2. Out-of-warranty replacement for $329.

Thoughts?

If You're not interested in the iPhone 7, then your Option one would be your best bet. And just forfeit the money until you decide if you want the iPhone 8. One of those unfortunate things that happen, but either way, it cost money.
