Repeat/Shuffle issues with purchased music

When I played music ripped from a CD, and I go to a specific, it offers both the shuffle and repeat icons and they seem to work. When I am on a specific song of a purchased song from say a single artist, then repeat icon doesn't appear nor does the shuffle icon work (it doesn't toggle).

I never had this issue with the old Music app

I seem to have an opposite problem. Looked for a thread about this but I don't see one.

In artist view, I am currently playing Enya. iTunes has elected to play track 1 from first album on the list, then track 1 from the second (1-track single) which happens to be the same song, and now skipped to the last track on the third album. After which it jumped to the previous track on the same album. Kind of selective shuffle. Except shuffle is off.

Which view are you using, album? song? artist? I'll try to see if I can replicate your issue.

Edit: oh wait, you said Music app, so you probably mean iOS, not desktop...
