My son has a 24" iMac; model=A1225, emc=2211.... trying to find a guide to replacing drive.... Any help??

Apart from the memory door, you will need only a T6 and a T8 screwdriver - eBay is full of kits. Get two suction cups from your local pound store - the sort you use for putting teatowels on the wall. They are perfect for taking the glass off and are very cheap.

I have the 2007 24" and the guide for HDD replacement was under that year's smaller screen model. The details were absolutely the same apart from the length of some of the metal bezel screws and the way the LCD backlight was fitted. The HDD replacement went perfectly (500Gb HDD to 3.5" 120Gb SSD).

Take the opportunity to vacuum the main fan for the CPU while you are at it.
