So a buddy of mine dropped his iPhone Classic on the gym floor today and got his power button pushed into the phone itself. So the button is un-pressable for the most part. You can see that there is a bit of indentation or mark around the button itself from the drop. Is there any possibility that he can get this replaced under warranty and get away with it? If it dropped anywhere else, he would have been fine with it but now the phone is almost dysfunctional w/ the power button being super sensitive to coming on and off.

Of course you can't get it replaced under warranty you muppet.

Thats like saying "Oh, I've crashed my car, but will you give me a new one for free!"

After having my first Iphone for 2 months, I decided to go joggin with it and it fell face first on pavement and the screen cracked under my screen protector. I had to pay $125 to get a replacement phone, luckily he discounted from the normal price of $250.
My fat friend slept on his iphone too much and the bottom half of the screen lost touch ability. Since it was not damaged physically they replaced it for free thinking it was just a faulty product.
The apple store does take care of you if you find the right person or fabricate a believable lie in which they can mark down as a faulty product. I have gotten 2 replacement phones in 6-7 trips to the iphone store, you just gotta find the lazy mac genius that wants you to leave the store asap with a smile on your face.
