I got a silicone case for a gift, still sealed in the box
i had the white silicone from last year and it attract lint and fibers ... dust
need to wipe it off all the time, Is the new silicone also like this? a "magnet" lint?

should i replace it for the leather? i saw that the leather wears and get scratches ... thought maybe to change to saddle brown? is it looks good on silver phone?

thanks

I've been using the Silicone case for a year and love it. Got it with the 6 plus, and kept using it for the 6sPlus. No issues with it and it holds up well. Highly recommended.

I bought both the silicone and leather cases for my 6S+... hands down prefer the silicone. Sort of surprised me because I thought I would like the leather better... I like the grippy texture, the more vibrant color, and the buttons seem more responsive in the silicone than the leather. I notice a little lint, but not too bad. It's pretty easy to clean it off anyway.

How protective do you think these two cases are? It seems they provide virtually no protection of our precious iPhones
against impact damage from dropping the phone. I'm very careful, but in the last year I can remember dropping the phone on two occasions. Maybe it's just me.

I guess it depends on how hard you are on your cases and where they fall if you drop them, etc. I had the Apple leather case on my 5S, and dropped it several times with no issues. In fact, once thought my phone was in my purse, but I had actually set it on top of it (hobo style purse, easy to do). When I stepped out of the car, grabbing my purse, it launched my phone into the air and onto the asphalt. It destroyed the case, but miraculously the phone was fine... YMMV of course, but I was impressed.

returned the silicon case because in/out from my jean pocket was annoying too much friction.

I didn't love the silicone it's looks nice and like a "cream" but it's attract lint and dust all time long , u need to wipe it off
I love A clean case - pretty annoying issue.
Leather feels more premium and classy, It's vulnerable to wear and scratches just like anything made out of leather but IMO that builds character and uniqueness over time.

Yeah, I'm thinking about another option besides the apple silicone case at this point. Take it out of my pocket and generally pull the pocket itself out at the same time.

They are very protective. Just YouTube drop tests with them. At ten feet the silicone one survived. The leather didnt in that test. Both survived 5-7 foot drops easily.

Just get both! Sometimes you want to use silicone then make the switch to leather. There problem solved!
