Replaced Digitizer and now LCD is messed up

I just replaced the screen for my daughters iPad. While replacing this, I did not turn it off and noticed that the LCD displayed white and black lines. finished taking the digitizer completely off and replaced it and it wont go away. I have not secured the screen back and have checked all connections. Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately I did not. Tried afterwards with no luck.
