Hi all,
My 4S had some recent water damage and experienced the phantom dock/speaker problems, so I replaced the dock connector this past weekend.

The phone boots up properly, I get a carrier signal and I have the white bars under the ringer and volume indicator (which I didn't get before I replaced the dock connector). I actually have sound when I use my headphones, but there are no sounds now coming from the phone's bottom speaker (I can hear the caller when I take a call, just not when I put the person on speaker).

Did I miss a connection or not tighten something down properly?

Thanks for the help,
batkc

The speaker connection is down near the dock connector. It may have come loose during reassembly. I would open it up and double check.

Also, maybe the water eventually got in to the speakers and shorted them out.
