Where is a good place to buy a decent replacement battery for an original 15" Macbook Pro 1,1?
Third party batteries are not worth the dead or recycled cells they're usually made from.
I wouldn't trust or recommend any non-Apple battery, due to the number of problems reported with "knockoff" batteries. Also, there is no assurance that knockoff batteries have the same charging technology that Apple uses, involving the battery, the MagSafe adapter and the Mac's logic board.

OWC sells good thirty-party batteries. These are high capacity, and from a reputable manufacturer. They also look the same as the original equipment. No reason to pay more for the Apple battery (probably made by the same factory).
I have one at my house...but it's in my 1.1, sorry. Maybe ebay or amazon?
