Replacement came unlocked?

Hey,
I got a replacement last week, the one I sent them was locked, so once I got my replacement I checked to see if it was locked, it wasn't! I was happy ! Just tried a different sim Again now and I'm getting No service.
Is it possible they locked it over the air? I didn't connect it with iTunes !

Any help will be appreciated 🙂

Its possible it was locked google IMEI lookups and check if it is locked
