Replacement for the USB-C cable which came with the MBP 16" 2019

Hi, from the product page, the MBP 16" 2019 came with USB-C (2m). If I want to buy a longer one, is there any advantage/disadvantage in buying a longer ThubderBolt cable rather than a longer USB-C cable?
 
Your MBP 16 needs a 100W USB-C charging cable. This is the only important thing if you're interested in charging only. USB-C charging cables also come in 60W options.

If you need data transfer (connecting to a display, external disk, etc.), you need a Thunderbolt cable.
