My MB has a 120GB HDD, and 2GB RAM. I'd like to upgrade the HDD to more like 500GB and the RAM to 4GB.

What do you guys recommend as far as HD's go? What kind of RAM do I need?

Assuming that it's unibody MacBook, you need this. As for HD, buy this for example

Btw, if you have white pre-unibody MacBook, it only accepts HDDs up to 9.5mm height, so 750GB is currently the maximum HDD you can use with that model. The Aluminium and white Unibody models accept up to 1TB.

Btw 2, MRoogle will give you one or two dozen hundred threads about this question.

I have the model that came out just before the white unibody. I believe it has the hard drive access in the battery compartment.
