Hello,
Has anyone had any luck getting a 9c84, 9c85 screen from a late 2008 unibody macbook pro with light leaks at bottom and side, replaced with the newer 9CA3 or 9CA4 screens from the 2009 models?
Do the newer models have this issue as well?
Thanks in advance.

So there is no point in replacing? odds are it will still have the same problem?

Even the newers 9ca3 and a4 screens have the spotlights to a greater or lesser extent. It's an issue if you can spot them in everyday use. If you turn up your backlight all the way on a completely black desktop background, you can see them pretty well on most new mbp's. Some are better than others.
