I have an an iPhone 4S and when I try to take pictures every once in a while the camera freezes when you click the bottom to take and the little squares that face detect freeze and won't let you take any pictures. It also gets hot really quickly after being online for a little. Do you think if I make an appointment at the Apple Store and explain this they might give me a replacement considering i haven't had it for more than a year? I do not have Apple Care.

Freezing/lagging are rarely hardware based. Sounds like you need to wipe the phone. That's the first thing apple will try before giving you a new phone anyway.
