My 2017 10.5 iPad Pro now has horrible battery life. I am looking to upgrade, but I am having a hard time deciding which one to get. I don't do intensive tasks like video editing or anything. Mainly netflix, youtube, ebay, social media. I want the Pro for the Pro-motion display and 4 speakers. I already own the M1 Mac Mini. I noticed I can get a refurbished 2020 11" pro for $200 cheaper than a new 11" M1. Is it still worth getting a 2020 11" nowadays? Also, I was thinking about getting one with cellular connectivity as Im on the go more nowadays and there;s been many times where I wished I has a cellular iPad. At least I would have the option to activate it if I wanted. Thanks for any advice.

If you want to save the $200 then the 2020 11" is an excellent replacement. If the $200 is less of a big deal, get the 2021. Or, hang fire for the next 11" which will no doubt have a Mini-LED, or OLED display.

As for cellular, don't forget you can tether to your phone.

Saying that, I went from a 2017 10.5 to 1TB cellular 12.9 2021 and am in love with it :D

I’d get the cheaper one then if it comes with full warranty from Apple.

There’s no right or wrong with regards to cellular and the topic has been discussed plenty times over. If you need it, get it. Personally I just tether to my iPhone when I need to.

For the long haul I would go with the 2021, but if price is a concern get the 2020. Other option would be a battery replacement and that would probably give you another year or two out of the 10.5 Pro. My daughter is still using hers for note taking in college.
