Hey all, I have a 2010 3.2GHz Mac Pro with a 1TB hard drive. I want to replace the old HD with this http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Western Digital/WD1000DHTZ/ (or another you all suggest). I just want the steps to see if I have it all correct:

    1. Plug up new HD in one of the free bays.
    2. Carbon Clone original HD to new HD.
    3. Boot up holding Option key and select new HD to boot from.
    4. Check if new HD is functioning correctly.
    5. Swap old HD with new HD.
    6. Regular boot up and everything should be working like nothing ever happened.

    Is this correct? Thanks!

Sounds right to me. You will need to format it first.
