I've got an old iMac G4 with an optical drive that has quit working, and would like to replace it.

I figure that I might as well make any suitable upgrades to the computer while I have it open.

I'm a bit of an e-tard when it comes to this kind of stuff, so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Here are a few specs:

iMac G4 15" Superdrive 800MHz/256MB/60HD currently running OSX 10.1.5

I'd like to upgrade the RAM and memory to function well with an Abode CS2 package I've got. I also have the disks to upgrade the OS to 10.3, which I understand to be the best upgrade I can manage with an old G4.

Whadda ya think would be the best upgrades to get this machine fully functioning again and optimized for some apps like CS2? Got a good line on where to purchase a compatible superdrive, etc?

Thanks in advance for the help!
