What are the thoughts on the Lenovo Yoga 900? I've done a lot of research on that and it seems like an awesome machine at a great price point.

That being said, I may be turning my attention to a 2in1 that can use a stylus, as I would like to use that in photo editing. I don't think you can use a stylus on the Yoga. And my iPad Pro just ain't cutting it.

Any suggestions? Although I've never used a PC I'm leaning in that direction because Apple hasn't updated their portable line in a long time and from what I can see there are no ports at all! I can't imagine what Apple is thinking. Steve Jobs must be haunting the halls at Cupertino.

Depending on what one considers an issue to be or if it's there and not noticed. (I've found that Parallels beats the snot out of Virtualbox and others in some areas of performance, but for basic use the software being free (or whose price people haven't read yet) it's useful...)

I find it more interesting that a person using Windows 10 is having no issues as well... same cause and reason.
I need to fast switch from multiple operating systems in my lap, virtual box allows Kali Linux, Debian Linux, blah blah Ubuntu, Solaris, Win10, Win8.1, ect. It allows me to quickly test something across several OS's, each running in their own WorkSpace so that I can quickly three finger swipe between the instances. Parallels doesn't offer the same, so I thought I'd add my workflow tool in so that the OP could see multiple tools used by multiple people and make the best choice based on their own research and usage.

What do you expect to be troubling users in Windows10? I've been using Win10 for over a year now and find it a descent upgrade to the former Win8, my formal writeup being: "Nail in your coffin". I'm still a UNIX dude, but appreciate the effort going into Win10.

I guess I should remain with the Dell XPS 15, especially because it is virtually impossible to sell it here in Brazil and I will not be able to buy something else. But I should say that when I bought my MacBook Pro I noticed no hardware flaws or deficiencies. It was perfect from a quality standpoint. Software may be a bit lacking sometimes: OS X does not have a decent office suite; and Windows drivers are poor.

But the Dell XPS 15 has those issues I spoke about earlier: (i) build quality is not top-notch; (ii) audio quality is poor; (iii) trackpad has some issues; (iv) the screen is reflective and does not reproduce colors accurately. Plus, sometimes I find it uncomfortable to type on it, as the position of the hand does not help. Overall, it is good but not as well-thought and well-built as a Mac.

I wonder if there is any Windows laptop that matches the quality of MacBooks. Perhaps the Samsung Ativ Book 9 Pro? Or an Alienware?

I'll type it again: Asus ZenBook Pro UX501 or the newest iteration is a top notch Win10 machine. 500GB SSD, thunderbolt, 4k touch screen monitor. Pretty sweet looking too.

Is it really good? I never seen one of these in person.

My sister has the original 13-inch Zenbook and I don't like the keyboard nor the touchpad. Perhaps things have changed, but the reviews I have seen are not particularly cheerful about the keyboard or the trackpad. I've actually seen some complaints about the keyboard: the layout is not that good, and the contrast between the keys and the chassis is poor.

The best I've tried so far under Windows was the keyboard/trackpad of the Surface Book. I actually liked the Surface Book features, but I am not sold on the convertible tablet concept. If it were a simple clamshell notebook, with quality components, I would consider it, no matter how expensive it could be.

I came so close to getting the Asus Zenbook UX501. I checked it out twice at B&H. I just couldn't get past the entire silver Color. It was just too monotone, and with the backlight it was even more silvery. There was no contrast at all.

Got my YOGA this week in orange. Man, this is one sweet machine. Super fast and really well built and beautiful. That watch hinge is really something. The only con is the trackpad keeps clicking. There's no silent way to use the mouse like on an Apple machine. Except if I go to the very top left corner of the trackpad I can touch with no click. Everywhere else it makes that irritating click sound. Not sure if the trackpad is bad or this is just the way it is. But other than that I'm really loving it. And Windows 10 seems pretty cool. Oh, and I should mention that the computer needed zero updates after I turned it on. Everything was completely up to date.

Colour me impressed.

Which Yoga did you get?

I've seen the Yoga 900 and it looks fine. However, I have to say that I feel that a 16:9 aspect ratio on a 13-inch screen won't work for me, as it does not provide enough vertical space. At this size, I would go for a 3:2 aspect ratio such as a Microsoft Surface or a 16:10 aspect ratio as a MacBook.

Yeah they are pretty good. http://www.laptopmag.com/reviews/laptops/asus-zenbook-pro-ux501 I only use it as a Win10 testing/demo platform for clients, so I cannot comment with too much authority on the keyboard. It feels great, but I literally only have about 10 hours keyboard time on it in almost a year.

Surface? We tried them, they are now in the original box in a cabinet somewhere. Both ( top spec ) were given back after 1 week for one and about 4 months for a hard core Winboy. I have about 30 minutes total time with a surface and missed my iPad the entire time.
