I got some new RAM for christmas for my mid 2010 15" model, and I am going to replace the memory... but I have one problem. I removed all 10 screws in the back, and I tried to remove the back panel starting from the vent/hinge area as has shown but mine will not come off. It will raise about a quarter an inch up and then stop. I'm top pulling too hard but I'm afraid that will break some kind of hinge system that is one there. I tried pulling up and then out but that did not help.

Can some one tell me if I am supposed to pull up with a good amount of force, or am I supposed to pull up a slight bit and then pull out?

    Any help would be great.

Yes, it's supposed to be like that, there's two clips on the middle that need to be released. All you need to do is pull up.
