I'm slightly disappointed that after only eighteen months or so the battery on my Macbook seems to have failed and I can't use my laptop now unless it's plugged into a mains power source.

How easy is it to get this fixed? Is it something I can do myself or will I need to send the Macbook away?

Thanks in advance for any help ...

Being 18 months old it'll obviously have a removable battery, it should be as easy as ordering a replacement battery which can be done online.
