Replacing Topcase on Black Macbook

My Black macbook is having the common problem of the edges cracking/peeling off. It's 2 months outside of AppleCare warranty. Will Apple still replace the topcase? Just make a genius bar appointment and no problem? I think I heard its a design flaw and could be replaced outside of warranty for no charge? Thanks!
