I have a 2.16GHz MacBook and some of the keys stopped working and I did a computer formate and that didn't fix the problem. I was wondering if a version 2 keyboard would work on my version 1 MacBook. (the only difference is the Fkeys have the newer lineup) did anyone try this before?

If you have a 2.16 MacBook you have a V2 keyboard (V1 is for the Core Duo MacBooks)...

The version you are calling V2 is actually V3 (with the dashboard icon on the F4 key). V3 will work fine on your MacBook and the function keys will work properly (ie F4 will give Dashboard) as long as you are running 10.5.

can you get the keyboard to do this without changing to the v3 keyboard if you're running 10.5? In settings somewhere or something?
