I'm going to have to disagree.

It's more of buying a fake product.

Software piracy and counterfeiting a trademark are both illegal in the United States and in most other countries, big difference here as Soda names are different and they don't taste exactly the same, these are using the same name and trying to use the exact same look, it's not the same

I have to agree with what others have said about fakes. It is actually quite a serious matter, and seems to be treated to lightly. I encourage all to give it some thought before deciding on purchasing a fake product.

"Replica" isn't the correct word. These cases are definitely counterfeits.
They have element cases branding clearly displayed, and advertise bluntly under elements name. They have stolen elements image, designs, names, etc, all very illegal, and generally harmful to everything that element case is.

I know for myself, I am not going to be supporting the buying and selling of illegal goods at the expense of the true, original designers.

In saying that, I don't own an element case myself, but I appreciate what they do.

Aliexpress is notorious for having counterfeit products so you have to be careful what you buy. I can practically guarantee that all brand goods on there are counterfeit.

If you buy a pirated copy of Windows, it's a hacked version of the sofware, delivered on a store bought DVD. It is not the official release of the software, or delivered on the official media.

If you buy a fake element case, it is a hacked copy of element's design, created out of generic materials. It is not the official release of element's design, or made out of element's official materials.

Please explain the difference as you see it.

And please note that the people who think fake goods are ok are always the first to cry when they buy something thinking it's legit, then receive a fake.

I would never buy a replica or a fake. However, I can understand why the market for such things is so vast. Charging $135 for the bumper is basically robbery in and of itself. Yeah, I understand why they charge that much and it is their right but you have to admit that you are just asking to be copied when you charge so much for something that can be made much cheaper and accomplish the same goal.

Telling from your name I can understand that you're purchasing a replica.

How can you tell by my name that I'm buying a replica? I don't get what you're saying. And everyone shouldn't be getting so butt hurt just because Chinese vendors made another replica of element case. That's nothing new!

That's really easy for you to say since you have no stake in Element Case. If you were part owner of the company I guarantee you would care.

If I owned element case my cases wouldn't cost 1 billion a pop. But I don't care, it's stupid to argue over

They would if you wanted to make a profit. While I agree that $135 is ridiculous, they need to pay their workers fair US wages, unlike the chinese knockoffs. You could argue, well why don't they just make them in China too? Well that would hurt their made in US branding that has helped them sell to begin with.
