Reply from Lockscreen with Touch ID

I will be getting an iPhone tomorrow. I know that with iOS 8 you can reply to a text from the lock screen. Can you do that with Touch ID enabled or will it ask you to place your finger on the home button first?

I will be getting an iPhone tomorrow. I know that with iOS 8 you can reply to a text from the lock screen. Can you do that with Touch ID enabled or will it ask you to place your finger on the home button first?

If you have reply from lockscreen enabled in the settings, you will not have to use TouchID to reply to texts. You will also need message preview enabled for the reply option to come up.
