Apple is not gonna break tradition: iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, 5S, 6, 6S, 7, 7S and 8 then 8S in 2018 and 9 in 2019 and 9s in 2020 then 10 in 2021.

What's with the naming? Apple hasn't broken the naming of the iPhone yet in years. 4, 4S, 5, 5S, 6, 6S, 7, ... ? Wouldn't it be safe to assume it's the 7S and next year the 8? Or are they done with the S moniker?

I think Apple realizes the S moniker is seen negatively by many potential customers as a rehash of last year's model that looks the same with one new marginal feature. Apple probably also wants numerical parity with Samsung's Galaxy phones to avoid Samsung's phones being perceived as being "superior" due to their higher number.

These early iPhone 9 rumors are making iPhone 8 feel outdated. Anyway 6.4"-inch iPhone would be a dream come true for me :D

I think this next iPhone will be back with Full energy in September. :D. The iPhone 9 rumors should be banned from making any headlines yet. It's still to early and they have no relevance until we can see the iPhone 8.
