I would like to find a way to assign a different notification sound to one particular app. Specifically, our security camera system gives notifications of motion. I’d like to give those notifications a different sound from other alerts. I haven’t found this functionality in IOS17. But, am I missing something? Or, is there a third-party app that gives this ability? It seems simple to me. For instance, I can assign different text notification sounds to different people. Why not to different apps? Thanks for any help!

Well, this allows the user to change the default notification sound... for all notifications. Not helpful for my intended purpose, which is to change the sound for one particular notification only.
As for per app, from what I know, the developer chooses to use the default (system) notification sound or implement their own — which needs to be included in the app bundle. Therefore, it would be the specific app developer who needs to offer the user preference options, at least as thus far. Perhaps it’ll be Apple’s next step on the subject.

Thank you! That makes sense! I hope Apple gives us this flexibility in a future update, if they can.
