iPhone Request: fb notifications without the app

So recently i have deleted my facebook app because i have an iphone with only 8gb.
And fb takes alot of space. So i thougt why not just use the web page. But the problem is that don't get any notifications from it. Is there a way to fix this? With a tweak or an app?
I have a jailbroken iPhone 4S with 8gb running ios 8.1.2

Aside from IFTTT (or IF as they are also being referred to now), there's also some services/apps like Boxcar that should be able to do something similar.

You can also set up Facebook to provide notifications via text messages (if that might be seen as a better alternative in some way).

Text msj or email of they still exist as options for all notifications.
