I have only owned my first MAC for a week. After 30 years of using a PC I made the switch. So far, so good except a couple of things.

First is the Safari email program. I have used Outlook for many years and became accustomed to it. Safari is very cumbersome to me. I have tried but I don't have the folder/filing options and the address book control that I had before. At least I can't figure it out. I look into my Road Runner email at their website and there are twice as many emails there that appear in my Safari. Some are important and I am sure it has to do with filters.

Anyone use Outlook on their MAC? Difficult to install?

Bob

Outlook is not available for mac, however microsoft makes a program with their Office Suite for Mac called Entourage which is almost exactly like outlook. There are a few differences, but I don't notice them. To get Entourage you would need to get Office for Mac either the 2004 or 2008 edition. I use the 2008 edition.

Safari may seem cumbersome to use because everything is integrated. A lot of switches get confused on their new macs because they cant find how to do something, when the mac app is doing it autonomously. Example: Address book integration. Start typing the name of someone in your address book in the "to:" line of a new email, and a list of email address and names from your address book will appear. As for your other problem, are there more emails showing up on your web email, or in the mail app?

I prefer Firefox over Safari - and only use gmail on safary. I recomend using the Mac Mail program though.
