Excellent excellent. Only one months wait  However as I'm not U.S. based, shipping costs will kill me on a single cable order so I'm not preordering just yet..

vaizki, I actually should be able to ship to you for about 10 dollars (not much more than domestic shipping). If you wanted to PM me your address I could get an exact quote. And yes I know a month is a long time to wait, I didn't expect anyone to order it but some people are. Pre-orders though are an effective way to show actual demand which really pushes manufacturing to develop the products faster than they would otherwise.

I'm doing the best I can to get these ASAP :D.

Got my cable the other day and it works flawlessly!

Looks like they are going to be making the reverse of this cable (to allow the mini-display port apple displays to connect to a system that has displayport output).

hi
thx for developing such a cable!!! ich have been waiting for this product since i bought my first mac in dec 2008. thought apple would be intelligent enough to sell such a cable but they only promote their mini "standard" instead of the industry standard display port.

@AndrewLang
i want to order a cable but i live in germany and would like to know if the first shipping option with ups for 9.xx euros is suitable for me or if i have to take another one (the international option?) ?

thx in advance

We ship to Germany everyday, its no issue for us. The most cost effective method is USPS Priority Flat Rate Envelope, it comes to $12.95 USD if you are just ordering 1 or 2 cables.

These cables have actually been quite popular for us in Germany, I think we're on some German forums.

any questions feel free to contact us:

Thanks again everyone!

The user reviews here http://estore.circuitassembly.com/p...Female-to-Displayport-Male-Adapter-Cable.html suggest it works with the 30" but has a problem with the 24"ACD.

I don't think that's necessarily true. The reviewer was using WAAY too many adapters somehow thinking that would work. S/he used the mini-DP cable -> DP coupler -> DP to HDMI adapter -> HDMI to DVI cable -> Desktop PC.

I think it mighta worked if HDMI was left out--there should be DP to DVI cables available.

I bought a mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable on Ebay though it was made by Circuit Assembly. I was concerned about it working with my HP LP2475w as the manufacturer's site said there may be incompatability problems, but it seems to work perfectly.

Thanks for posting, this will be good to know for future reference.

Monoprice is working on a mini-DP to DP cable but it's still not out yet. Right now ETA is 10/9/09.

Good to know your success as I'm having severe problems with using the same display using the simple Apple mini-displayport to dvi adapter.
Out of interest did you try this adapter before you got the new cable, and did you have problems too?
Just wanna know whether it's a problem with my h/w, or if it's something that just won't work.
Don't want to waste time calling Applecare if the HP monitor aint ever gonna work with the mini-dp to dvi adapter.
Thanks.

There are sometimes problems with HP monitors and these adapters. The problem seems to be more typical when the user is using Windows 7 and one of the Radeon 5700 or 5800 series video cards. We think its a software issue or an incompatibility issue but we don't have the ability to test every possible configuration of video cards/operating systems/monitors. Fortunately though we do offer a very good return policy in the case that someone orders a cable from us but it doesn't work with their setup.
