Wow all this talk of depression. You guys are wimps. The thing is, that is life happening right now. What are you doing to do about it? Get depressed?

I think the point of the film was to get you inside the life of a junkie. Not just hard drug junkies, but even the prescription junkies. So that maybe you can recognize this behavior from someone in your own life and maybe help them.

If anything, I walked away more educated and with that feel armed with the ability to understand and quite possibly help someone move away from drugs before the outcomes are similar to that in the movie.

The World According to Garp is a solid second place

Why is ****G so depressing? I read the book and it didnt depress me; i thought it was quirky and interesting but not really sad until they got to the very end. I'd check the movie out but I'm wary of book->movies. It feels like the producers missed the essence of the movie.

Shrug. Requiem didn't depress me all that much really.

I think Grave of Fireflies is the most depressing movie I have ever seen.

I didn't think Requiem was all that depressing, either. Didn't make an impact on me at all, actually.

I remember walking out of the theatre after watching it, and physically doubling over gasping for breath. I called everyone I knew and told them they had to watch that movie.

Never has a film made such a physical impact on me like that one.

Dancer in the Dark was pretty depressing. I passed on a party invitation and went to bed instead after watching that.
