I've been trying to use Requiem to remove the DRM from an audiobook so that i can play it on a non-apple device, however Requiem no longer seems to work with iTunes 11.x.

so any ideas what else i can use?

It should work if you install Requiem 3.3.5 and iTunes 10.5.3. I don't think there is anything else that works.

doesn't work with those versions either.
get the following error

the following files could not be dectrypted
blah.m4b (java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\ProgramData\Apple Computer\iTunes\SC Info\SC Info.sidb (The system cannot find the file specified))

file is in itunes and plays fine in itunes.

It's looking for the iTunes authorization file. You need to ensure that the file has been written by the version of iTunes that you are currently running. Logging into the iTunes store and re-downloading the book might do it. It might be more complicated than that. Try googling "SC Info.sidb requiem".

I just realized that I had misread your original post. I thought you were trying to deal with iBooks. For audio books, you may be able to use later versions of Requiem and iTunes. I think the latest that worked on audio and video files is Requiem 4.1 and iTunes 10.6.3 (See http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1575)

Running Requiem on Mac? Except for iTunes and Requiem version, you should still check your Mac OS X, as it is said Requiem can't work well on Mountain Lion or higher.
