Hi everyone,

I have a late 2011 MBP 17 inch which was originally purchased in Hong Kong as a gift before making its way to Canada. It is still under the 1 year warranty.

No boxes or receipts of any kind were retained, so there isn't any tangible proof of purchase.

Will I still be able to register Applecare to my MBP?

You can still get the AppleCare Protection Plan, just call Apple or go to a store (reseller or Apple Store, either works). It's international too, so you can use it anywhere Apple has service.

Thanks for the replies.

I did check the Apple.ca store and the prices are insane. Nearly $400 counting tax for additional 2 years warranty.

I looked at the B&H video site which I heard offer better deals but they don't ship to Canada :(
