I'm in between getting the iPad Mini 2 or the 4. Most likely If next year's model has 3D touch I will upgrade to that regardless but for now I'm not sure which one to get. Leaning towards the 4 tho.

I would get the 16GB model because I don't need more space. Only thing is If I get a iPad Mini 4 16GB now, will I be able to sell it for decent money in one year from now if I upgrade? Does 16GB hold any value these days?

What are you thoughts on this?

Between the two get the 4. 1GB DRAM Safari and app reloads on the 2 will quickly make you regret buying it. Only thing is 4 is not worth MSRP so take advantage of the deals out there like possibly Target cartwheel 10% off.

I just upgraded to the mini 4 and recycled my 2 year old mini 2, 16GB, LTE, silver for $115 from Apple. I just looked up the same device with 64GB on Apple and the amount is the same. I don't know what the price difference would be if any on sites such as eBay, Craigslist, etc.

Yeah looks like I'm going to get the Mini4 16GB - makes sense after reading all the replies. Thanks guys!

About the Ipad Mini 2 - which model is more favored? White or Black front?

Also will you get a lot more resale value out of it by getting the WIFI + Cellular?

Resale value decreases with each higher capacity model. I.e. 128gb nets a similar sale price to 64gb. It's certainly not a $100 premium.

Buy the cheapest spec one will always be the "best" for resale. Whatever you pay for cellular you will not get back when you resell.
