Will the resale value of MBA drop significantly due to M1 announcement? Unless the M1 performs bad then the intel version might hold its value?

Currently using a MBA 2020 i7/16/512 since July

I dont think so... Its the last of its kind and can do MANY things the M1’s cant. Remember, the M1’s lock you down to the AppStore 100% and has ZERO x86 support.

I guess there's some people who will still need to run Boot Camp and Windows VMs, so there might be some demand for these seeing as they've stopped selling the Intel ones?

I suspect with the Air though most people buying them aren't doing these sort of things so just won't care what CPU is inside it.

Wrong on both counts here.
Craig specifically mentioned apps downloaded from websites, which means NO appstore lockdown.
There is also X86 compatibility for Mac applications.

The resale prices on UK eBay haven't budged at all, most people aren't like us and will just think 'I want a MacBook Air, reasonably new'.
