    Hi Everyone,

I have Adobe CS3 Design Premium installed on my Mac right now. I would like to sell it as I no longer need the full suite, and I can get CS4 apps individually from my school for ridiculously cheap.

Now, if I de-activate the software on my Mac and uninstall it, can I sell it on ebay? What I'm concerned about is if someone who is not eligible for the academic discount bought it, since I don't remember if I registered it with Adobe or not, could I get in trouble for that?

Registration is not the issue. The issue is activation. Activation is not a local process. Activation requires your apps to communicate with an Adobe server. My experience is that you cannot activate the same app twice. Long story short--you can sell your software on eBay. However, the buyer will not be able to use it until he purchases a new serial number from Adobe.

I am aware of the differences between registration and activation.

Adobe software allows you to deactivate the software from your computer (and it also allows installation on 2 computers, but that's another issue). However, it is registered to me, and there is no way to unregister it that I can see. So registration *is* the issue.
