is this just a rumour? it went live at 8:30pm?

at 8.30 exactly after eastenders finished i checked the reserve and a list of stores came up, and it was showing unavailable, with brent cross showing one 16gb left when i pressed next, it was gone...

:( Looks like im not getting a iphone? :p

I thought they may go live earlier than 9 so have had it set to fresh every 5 minutes from 8pm with me keeping one eye on the screen, I've not seen one iPhone available.

It's a bit of a p**s take when today both Apple stores in Manchester said there will be loads for reserve tonight.

dont think there was ever any stock on this reserve thingy.. Tried quite a few shops and none of them had any... Will keep on trying let us know if you see stock in any of them (at least none in london)

Just went to the apple store in Regents and they confirmed me this is a pretty pointless exercise. Even if you manage to reserve it, the doesnt mean you will be able to get it thet day after (or at least they said this). You still need to wait for the shop to have stock bla, bla. Just gonna wait for my online order now...

wow that blows. definitely not pointless in the states; they really do hold one for you. as soon as allocation was gone for each store, I saw them slowly go out of stock in real time.

I reserved last night and picked mine up this morning. They had mine waiting for me. I showed up at 10 am and my 64gb was still there. They didn't sell it to anyone else. So the reserves do work.

I do admit that the employees had to figure out how to find it in the system and the guy said, " Good thing you reserved because this was the only one we had in the whole store."

Nice one apple.

when you reserved your iphone did the other models say unavailable thats the only thing thats annoying me I;d rather it say out of stock or something.
