Hey guys I have a friend who needs to reset his admin password, He can not remember his password but for what ever reason it automatically logs him into his account, so we can get the desktop but not change the password. He has also lost his install disk so that is not an option either. There are a few guides that require us going into the command panel and entering some code from there but it also says we will not be able to access the user that he wants (has many one time install kind of programs).
Any help you guys could provide would be amazing and much appreciated.

I googled for: mac os reset admin password

The top result is this article:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1274

You'll want to start at the "Resetting the original administrator account password" heading, which is what it tells you in step 1.

EDIT
Never mind. I missed the "he lost his install disk".

If it's a recent model Mac, he could probably buy a replacement disk for it from Apple.
