So before i sold my SE 2nd Gen i remembered i chose Erase All Content And Settings in Settings but suddenly i recieved a popup saying my Apple ID and Phone Number is being used for FaceTime. I then went to Settings and removed iPhone SE 2nd Gen... isnt Erase All Content And Settings supposed to have removed my Apple ID?

After removing SE 2nd Gen in settings, i checked my Apple ID and it only shows my 12 PM. Does that mean that the SE 2nd Gen no longer has access to my Apple ID/Facetime?

You can also make sure it’s not in your Find My IPhone list. I work with a company that sells refurbished phones. You won’t believe how many don’t remove their iClouds. Luckily you can remove it remotely. You should be fine if you took it off your devices list and find my iPhone.

I have removed it from my device list and i never have Find my iPhone Enabled. Its just insane that a Reset doesnt remove iCloud and stuff. The SE 2nd Gen even asked for my Apple ID after the reset but i left it blank and just turned the phone off.

Could just be a bug with iCloud. Best to call Apple to sort it out.

So i just asked Apple through the Apple Chat and the Representative Confirmed that it has been removed. Advised me to uninstall Facetime and re install it.

It’s best to always sign out of iCloud before resetting. A lot of people don’t do this when returning phones to my company. It’s mind boggling because I would never return a phone with my information still logged in but a lot of people don’t seem to care.

Find My iPhone is what makes a phone still have an activation lock when you reset without removing iCloud first. If you didn’t have find my iPhone enabled then the reset technically would have properly removed the iCloud.

iCloud in fairness asks you each and every time you attempt to perform an erase all content command.

I didnt have Find my iPhone enabled but iCloud stayed after 2 resets. Thats just plain weird. After the 2nd reset, the SE 2nd Gen even asked for my Apple ID and password. And after a few hours that notification popped up.

I pretty sure its a bug or something... entering password before reset should have removed iCloud.
