I have an iPhone 7 that stopped charging. I've changed the battery and it will power on with a new battery, but won't charge. Someone else would like to have it to see if they can fix it, but is it possible to remove my information and iCloud lock from the phone remotely? I know it won't be in affect until when/if it powers on, but is there anything I can do now?

You can erase the device remotely through iCloud.com.

Then remove Activation Lock, also through iCloud.com.
