Reset notes iphone

I do not seem to be able to reset notes on my iphone, when I remove it from icould from the phone the notes remain there. on the mac however when i remove notes from icloud the notes dissappear.

When I update notes on my mac it does not seem to be updated on the iphone so I have to find a way to fix it... suggestions pls

Are you using the same iCloud account on both? Sometimes when setting up an iPhone icloud and iTunes accounts can become mixed up causing sync issues
