Reset usage meter

How do you reset the battery usage meter? I assumed it would reset itself after a full charge. However, last night I charged it from 1% and woke up to it at 100% this morning. However, I checked the usage meter right now and t said that it's been going for 9 hours (which is a combination of yesterday and today). How can I fix this?

AFAIK the standby and usage meter reset when the phone is 100% charged. If it is not doing that then there may be something wrong with your phone.
 
I Think it may have been that I turned the phone off completely last night. Would that have any effect on it?
