Greetings.

I got a new iPhone 6S many months ago.

While setting it up, I created an iCloud Keychain password (different from an Apple ID).

I would like to change that password, or, at worst case scenario, reset it and get a new password, even if I lose all the passwords I currently have stored in my iCloud Keychain.

I've Googled for help but so far what I found wasn't helpful.

For example, in the instructions below, they show an Advanced button which simply isn't there when I go to the part of the settings they ask you to go to.

I'm pretty sure I know the iCloud Keychain password, but I'm not 100% sure.

Thank you for any help.

Addendum: If I get a new iPhone, and I know my Apple ID password, is that enough to activate iCloud Keychain on my new phone, or will I also need to know my iCloud Keychain password?

The problem is there's a lot of iOS help advice out there on the big Internet that doesn't take into account the version your device might be on. The advanced option shown in that screenshot is not available on the latest iOS version.

Which iOS version is your iPhone 6s running?

You have an option to delete your Keychain and keep the information, or contact Apple Support to reset it the password after they verify your identity. The Apple Support article below gives the details about both of those options.

I don't have an answer to your Addendum question because I've never set a separate password for the Keychain. If someone else doesn't chime in, you might want to ask Support.
