How do you do a hard reset when even closing a app doesn't work? I know that holding the home button down with close the app but how do you reset the phone if the off switch isn't work?

Hold down the home + power button until u see the white apple logo.

No, its normal. Just resets the phone.

i do a reset like this about 2 times a day, when my phone starts to get laggy i reset it and it seems to run a little smoother at first.
