im thinking about resetting my ipod so i can run updates and all that stuff on my mac but before i do i just gotta make sure that windows pc's will stilll recognize it as an axternal drive and be able to read/write it. just checking because i dont want i to be like re-formatted or sumthin like that as this is my primary way to transfer files from my mac to pc's.

Once you format the iPod on your Mac, your PC won't be able to read/write like it used to. There are programs out there that allow PCs to read Mac-formatted external hard drives, so that may still be an option for you. It won't be as seamless as it is right now, though.

ok thats what i was worried about. but i did get my flash drive fixed (the usb connector got bent and it wouldnt go in properly) so now that that works i might be able to use that.
